An exhibition featuring nine paintings exploring themes of growing up in a cult, love, and family. The paintings consist of a self portrait, my brothers, sisters, parents and my son.
Family Is Like Blood
A written message to myself and each family member is embedded into each painting. Including the first line written in my own blood.
Seven Years
The exhibition took over seven years to complete.

Creating the work consisted of 1 inch grid marks, and constantly drawing and re drawing shapes of light and darkneess.

Under Painting.
The painting process began with an under painting of Ultramarine Blue and Titanium White. The finished skin tone glows due to the contrasting color technique.
